Why Did the Go Home Machine Send Miles to Earth-42?
The Spider-Society's Dimensional Go Home Machine operates on genetic origin scanning. It reads the radioactive isotopic signature encoded into the subject's DNA to determine their native universe.
Because Miles Morales (Earth-1610) was bitten by the radioactive spider extracted from Earth-42, his mutated cellular DNA matched Earth-42's signature. The machine routed him to Earth-42 instead of Brooklyn-1610. Crucially, because Miles' atomic structure is still native to Earth-1610, he begins experiencing cellular glitching when trapped in Earth-42.
